Nintendo has a new patent for Supplemental Computing Device. I have a possible idea for how they might use it.

Nintendo has patented a device called a Supplemental Computing Device. The purpose of this device is to provide better CPU, Network Performance and increased memory.  As you can tell from patent the SCD connects directly to the what is referred to as “console”

I believe this patent further legitimizes the rumor the Nintendo NX will be a hybrid system, Here is my vision of what the NX will be. The NX will be a hybrid system you connect to the television, but also can carry with you on the go. Games on NX will be able to scale up and down in graphics based on whether you are at home or traveling.

If this is true it will be amazing! Imagine being able to play The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the go! This would also be great for Nintendo’s software development because they won’t have to split effort between handheld and console anymore. This idea for a console would most definitely help fix Nintendo software droughts. If Nintendo does this and has a system that has power comparable to the PS Neo and Scorpio they will knock NX out of the park!

I have been thinking about the best Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Go. I took me quite a while to realize the perfect Pokemon to catch is mew! But where is the best spot to find mew . And then it hit me all the wild ideas for how to catch Pokemon in the 1990s. The best spot the find a mew is… under this truck!

Yes the perfect place. All you have to do is go outside and find a truck like this and look under it and you will instantly find a mew under it.Yes! Look under all the beat up trucks and you will find mews abound!

Nintendo NX Seems likely to be a portable console

Nintendo’s Latest system the Nintendo NX will be a portable console. According to a report by “Eurogamer” the new system will be a portable that docks with your television. While there have been many rumors surrounding Nintendo’s Mysterious new system from physical cartridges, and even a debunked touch controller. This Report comes included with an illustration of what the handheld could look like.

Also The NX is reported to be powered by a Nvidia Tegra processor. A processor popular for being in android phones. Not much else is known about the system. It is unknown if the system will share any backwards compatibility with its Wii U predecessor.

Virtual Reality- Potential Success?

As many of you are no doubt aware Virtual Reality is back! The mediocre headsets from the 1990s are back. However, unlike the 90s we have excellent products like the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. They are excellent headsets and are in glorious HD resolution. But will these reborn headset be successful? Lets look and see what is required for VR to remain and not return to obscurity. There are three important factors to VR’s Sucess.

First is Affordability. You want you product to have a reasonable price to the general public can enjoy your product. For Example, When the PlayStation 3 was announced it was at an infamous retail price of 599 US Dollars, since the price was too high for many during a recession economy the PS3 was for a period of time a failure. Reaching an affordable price is great because you will have the product in more hands.

Next, We have Accessibility. This is important because it determines who will be using your device. Video Game Consoles are an excellent example of this. Consoles are easy to use all that is required is that you plug the system in your TV and play it. Having you device be easy to use provides you with an enormous advantage.

Whether VR headset will be a commercial success or failure will depend on if it reaches the benchmarks of Affordability and Accessibility. So if you are flying in a VR spaceship in three years is entirely based on VR meeting these standards.
